Role of Realtors in Property Rights
Are you a Canadian property owner?
Welcome to Watershed Debacle, a platform designed to inform and support Canadian property owners. This site provides a clear overview of how legislation intended to protect the environment has reduced property values and land use of the small rural property owners. Our goal is to offer resources, share experiences, and encourage collective efforts to address these challenges. Whether you're a landowner, realtor, or simply interested in property rights, we invite you to explore the site and learn how you can join us to take action.
Our goal is to build a network of people affected by reduced property values and limitations on development to advocate for change and build a class action suit to compensate for our loses.

The Watershed Debacle website was developed after the Tait family discovered the significant impact of government legislation on their 150-acre property in Severn, Ontario. When they attempted to sever lots for their children to build homes, they were shocked by the restrictions imposed by legislation and resultant financial implications. In the midst of the current housing crisis, they were informed by their local government planning department that they could not sever lots or build homes for their children and grandchildren. Outraged by the lack of transparency and support from their community government, the Tait family created this platform to raise awareness among fellow landowners and advocate for their rights against similar infringements.
